My highest priority is to protect and nurture the spontaneous creativity in my students. I defend them from mean-spirited comments and self-deprecating remarks. I offer classes so there can be co-operative invention and example. I offer an environment full of color, tools, textures, inspirations and experiments. I teach them techniques specific to their own goals through demonstrations and coaching.

I expect mutual respect, respect for each other’s work, and respect for the environment.
